| dc.description | ABSTRACT The research was developed as a literature review, collecting and analyzing scientific articles related to the main objective. This literature review is related to Manual Therapy and how this technique improved the chronic pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis to determine the efficacy of the treatment. At the same time, this research generates updated information on the application of manual therapy. Thus, it aims to contribute to the knowledge of both professionals and students. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a systematic, autoimmune, progressive, and chronic disease that can cause functional disability. It is characterized by being polyarticular; it follows a predominant affection pattern that causes pain, inflammation, and discomfort. Thus, it affects the peripheral joints such as the fingers, hands, elbows, shoulders, knees, and ankles. Given these discomforts, it is essential to know about Manual Therapy's treatment, mainly because it helps to regain movement and relieves pain in the affected joints, according to the collected information. This research encounters about 150 articles that were located through scientific search engines such as Scielo, PubMed, Word Wide Science, Diane, Elsevier, and Scholar Google. The search was performed in different languages such as English, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, and its selection was according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Pedro scale was chosen for the scientific evaluation, and after the process, 35 articles remained to work. Based on the scientific article analysis, it was concluded that Manual Therapy shows effective results in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Consequently, there is a notable improvement in the patient; it reduces chronic pain, improves range of motion, decreases joint stiffness, increases strength, maintains functionality, and helps the individual in daily life activities. | dc.description.abstract | RESUMEN La investigación se desarrolló en modalidad de revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo de la recopilación y análisis de los artículos científicos por medio de la revisión bibliográfica relacionados a la Terapia Manual y como esta técnica mejoro el dolor crónico de la Artritis Reumatoide para determinar la eficacia del tratamiento, generando información actualizada sobre la aplicación de la terapia manual dicho esto, la investigación tiene como fin aportar en el conocimiento tanto de los profesionales como estudiantes. La Artritis Reumatoide es una enfermedad sistemática, autoinmune, progresiva y crónica que puede llegar causar incapacidad funcional. Ella se caracteriza por ser polyarticular, sigue un patrón de afección predominante que provoca dolor, inflamación y molestias. Así, afecta las articulaciones periféricas como los dedos, las manos, codos, hombros, rodillas y tobillos. Ante dichas molestias es importante conocer sobre el tratamiento de la Terapia Manual, en especial porque esto ayuda a recuperar el movimiento y alivia el dolor en las articulaciones afectadas de acuerdo a la información recopilada. En la investigación se encontraron cerca de 150 artículos por medio de buscadores científicos como Scielo, PubMed, Word Wide Science, Dianet, Elservier, y Google Académico. La búsqueda se realizó en diferentes idiomas como inglés, chino, portugués, ruso, español y su selección fue de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se tomó en consideración la escala de PEDro para valoración científica y después del proceso quedaron 35 artículos con los que se trabajaron. Se llegó a la conclusión según los análisis de los artículos, que la terapia manual evidencia resultados eficaces en el tratamiento para la artritis reumatoide. Como resultado existe una mejoría notable en el paciente, la misma ayuda a la disminución del dolor crónico, mejora el rango de movilidad, disminuye la rigidez articular, aumenta fuerza, mantiene la funcionalidad y ayuda al individuo en las actividades de la vida diaria. | es_ES |
