dc.descriptionThe present study aims to analyze the higher brain functions in patients with cephalalgia. These individuals have been treated in the outpatient area of the HOSPITAL PROVINCIAL GENERAL DOCENTE of RIOBAMBA between 2018- 2019. A total of 50 clinical records of patients with neurological diseases were collected. From there, a sample of 29 individuals who presented cephalalgia and a neuropsychological evaluation carried out using the Neuropsi test was chosen. This research work is a quantitative, documentary and bibliographic study with a transversal and descriptive design. Moreover, an observation guide was used which included informative data, neurological diagnoses, and results from Neuropsi tests. The obtained results indicated that the affected higher brain functions were the attention- concentration, memory, language, and the executive brain functions. Finally, to correlate these results with a solution, a psychoeducational action was proposed. Thus, we expected that the patients and the neurological area staff will have more and better information to address this problematic.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar las Funciones Cerebrales Superiores de los pacientes con cefalea atendidos en el área de neurología de consulta externa del Hospital Provincial General Docente Riobamba, 2018-2019, se realizó mediante la revisión de 50 historiales clínicos de pacientes con enfermedades neurológicas, seleccionando una muestra de 29 que presentaron cefalea y una evaluación neuropsicológica por medio del test Neuropsi; esta investigación es de tipo cuantitativo, documental y bibliográfico con un diseño transversal y descriptivo. Se empleó una guía de observación; la que incluía datos informativos, diagnóstico neurológico y resultados del test Neuropsi. Los resultados obtenidos determinaron que las Funciones Cerebrales Superiores afectadas son la atención-concentración, la memoria, el lenguaje y las funciones ejecutivas. En relación con estos resultados se planteó una guía de psicoeducación para que los pacientes y el área de servicio neurológico tengan mayor información para abordar esta problemática.es_ES
