Propuesta de un sistema de gestión ambiental basado en la norma ISO 14001 para la empresa Pùblica Ep-Emapar

Abstract

This research paper presents a proposal for an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard for the public company EP-EMAPAR with the aim of improving and potentiating its environmental performance. As a first fundamental step for the proposal, an initial environmental evaluation was carried out to know the situation in which the EP-EMAPAR is located,, in the process of development of the SGA, the environmental aspects and impacts were identified and assessed based on to the processes and activities developed by the company, they also identified the environmental legislation applicable to the Company An environmental policy with principles and intentions targeted at the continuous improvement of the SGA is proposed, where its operation depends on the commitment of senior management and employees of the company. Based on the checklist made in the EP-EMAPAR on the requirements set out in ISO 14001:2015, the company achieved a percentage of compliance of 4% , this percentage can be improved and will reach 100% when the proposed SGA is implemented, for which an environmental management manual was established as key documentation of the SGA, with the procedures and instructions that will guarantee control of the significant environmental aspects and impacts identified, thus improving the ecological performance of the company.
