| dc.description | In the midst of a society in which the education of the emotions and feelings in the children has been a priority in the educational institutions as a strategy for the integral formation and total of the personality of the students, and thus to favor not only their psychological –emotional welfare, but also to influence positively on their self-steem and self-awareness. The present research work is a study on Emotional Intelligence and Self-Esteem in the students of Basis General Education, whose main objective is to determine how Emotional Intelligence influences on the self-esteem of this population. The methodology used in this research is quantitative in nature, the study results were obtained through two tests: Final Test of Emotional Intelligence for school children, composed of five items each consisting of twelve questions of different aspects: self-awareness, social skills , Empathy, self-control and emotional exploitation; In addition, the A-EP Test Questionnaire for the Asseeement of the Self-Esteem in Primary Education was used, consisting of twelve questions regarding self-concept. The population is made up of 113 students of the Fifth Year of Basic General Education of the Educational Unit '' José María Román''. The most significant findings obtained from this study are that in their great majority students are in an average level of emotional intelligence and a very similar percentage are in an mid-level of self-esteem, thus establishing a close relationship between both. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En una sociedad en la que la instrucción de las emociones y sentimientos en los niños ha sido una prioridad en las instituciones educativas como una destreza para el desarrollo integral y total de la personalidad de los niños, y así favorecer no solo su bienestar psicológico-emocional sino también influir de modo efectivo en su autoconcepto y autoconocimiento. El siguiente proyecto de titulación es un estudio sobre la Inteligencia Emocional y Autoestima en los estudiantes de educación general básica, teniendo como objetivo principal el determinar de qué manera la Inteligencia Emocional influye en la Autoestima de dicha población. La metodología utilizada en esta investigación es de carácter cuantitativa, los resultados de estudio se obtuvieron por medio de dos test: Test Definitivo de Inteligencia Emocional para niños escolares, compuesta de cinco ítems cada uno formada de doce preguntas de diferentes aspectos: autoconciencia, habilidades sociales, empatía, autocontrol y aprovechamientos emocional; a más de ello se utilizó el Test A-EP Cuestionario para la Evaluación de la autoestima en educación primaria, compuesto por doce preguntas en cuanto a autoconcepto. La población está compuesta por 113 estudiantes de Quinto Año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa ´´José María Román´´. Las conclusiones más significativas obtenidas de este estudio son que en su gran mayoría los estudiantes se encuentran en un nivel medio de inteligencia emocional y un porcentaje muy similar se encuentran en un nivel medio de autoestima, estableciendo así una relación estrecha entre ambas. | es_ES |
